In April of 2007 the Alaska Chapter members of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) and the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) decided to coordinate their independent efforts into a partnership.
The mission of this partnership is to provide a single resource for 911, dispatch center and public safety answering point (PSAP) personnel throughout the state of Alaska. Through a combined effort we hope to advance the State's 911 system in order to better serve the people of Alaska, and to assure it's emergency communications personnel are informed and have the resources they need.
